New business database - Osiris

We have just got access to a new business database, Osiris.

Osiris has information on listed, and major unlisted/delisted, companies around the world. The information is very detailed and includes a lot more than financial reports. Different templates are used to show accounts in the correct formats for their company type and location. From their website:

Web of Science Maintenance/Upgrade - Saturday December 13, 2014



Web of Science will undergo scheduled maintenance on Saturday December 13 2014, to release new search functionality in the WoS version 5.16 release. During this time, access may be intermittent. Thomson Reuters apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

A number of systems including SiD Online, the PAD enquiry centre, and Tell Us will be unavailable from 6pm on Thursday 11th December until the morning of Monday 15th December.

Taylor & Francis journals maintenance 9th December - some functionality affected but full text still available



There will be a scheduled release on the Taylor & Francis Online platform on Tuesday 9th December 07:00-14:30 GMT. During this time all articles will remain available to view or download, as usual, where you would normally have access. However, some sections of the platform will be unavailable during this release. These are: My Account features, search, payment options and informational pages on Taylor & Francis Online.

This will affect all ejournals with www.tandfonline.com in the URL.

Scopus - new journal metric

Scopus have introduced a new journal metric: Impact per Publication (IPP). IPP measures the ratio of citations per article published. It provides academicswith an additional metric for comparing and evaluating journals to help them know where to publish. Access the IPP metric from the "Compare journals" tool and elsewhere in Scopus.
